Job Description Tipico is looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to join our team. Grow with us, introduce us to new ideas, and develop products that maximize the thrill of sports for our customers. Every day, you'll work in a highly collaborative and agile environment with cross-functional team members to develop products and create technical solutions that push us forward. Your playing field: You are running the production environment by monitoring availability and taking a holistic view of system health You are building software and systems to manage platform infrastructure and applications You are improving the reliability, quality, and time-to-market of our suite of software solutions You are Measuring and optimising system performance with an eye toward pushing our capabilities forward, getting ahead of customer needs, and innovating for continuous improvement You are providing primary operational support and engineering for multiple large-scale distributed software applications You are gathering and analysing metrics from operating systems as well as applications to assist in performance tuning and fault-finding; You are partnering with development teams to improve services You are participating in system design consulting, platform management, and capacity planning You are creating sustainable systems and services through automation and uplifts; You are balancing feature development speed and reliability with well-defined service-level objectives Qualifications Which skills should you bring to the pitch: Education . Bachelor/master’s degree in computer science or an equivalent degree Experience . 2+ years of experience in similar positions like Senior Software Developer or Performance Lab Engineer. Programming Skills. You can program (structured and OOP) using one or more high-level languages, such as Java, JavaScript and Python Subject Matter Expert . You are an expert in cloud computing technologies (AWS) You have solid knowledge and experience working with Kubernetes (administration, optimisation, CRDs) Proficiency in CI/CD and provisioning tools (GitHub actions, Terraform). Issues are challenges for you. You have a proactive approach in identifying problems, performance bottlenecks, and areas for improvement. Benefit . Vendor certifications (AWS) or equivalent, Experience in a Java-based development environment (Java Background is of benefit) Language skills. You are fluent in English.
