We are a remote-first company, building a global team of passionate engineers to push the boundaries of database infrastructure. As a Senior Software Engineer on the Cloud Operations team , you will work at the intersection of platform engineering and reliability. You’ll design, operate, and evolve the cloud-native infrastructure that underpins Qdrant Cloud, with a strong focus on scalability, stability, and reducing operational load through engineering. This role is for engineers who enjoy building platforms that run reliably in production , combining strong software engineering with infrastructure and systems thinking. Tasks Design, implement, and operate core cloud platform components Build and maintain Kubernetes clusters and develop custom Kubernetes operators Write production-grade Go and Python code for platform services and automation Improve reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency of cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure) Strengthen observability through monitoring, logging, alerting, and metrics Automate operational workflows and platform integrations Collaborate closely with Platform, Regions & Clusters, and Features teams Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and long-term system hardening Continuously reduce KTLO and operational overhead through engineering improvements Requirements Must have 5–7+ years of experience in platform engineering, infrastructure, or SRE-adjacent roles Strong proficiency in Go and Python , or deep expertise in one with willingness to work regularly with both Solid experience running Kubernetes in production Strong understanding of distributed systems and cloud-native architectures Hands-on experience with major cloud providers (AWS, GCP, or Azure) Experience with CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and automation practices Comfortable participating in on-call rotations and managing production incidents Ownership mindset and clear communication skills Nice to have Experience building Kubernetes operators or control-plane components Background in SaaS, database, or systems-level product companies Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, or similar tooling Familiarity with networking, load balancing, or service meshes Contributions to open-source projects Benefits Competitive salary, equity, and benefits Fully remote setup with flexible working hours High-impact role in a core cloud operations team Opportunity to work on large-scale Kubernetes and cloud systems Clear growth path toward Staff Engineer or Platform Architecture roles If you enjoy building reliable platforms, improving systems through code, and operating complex infrastructure at scale, we’d love to hear from you.
