Stellenbeschreibung: Intro About GlassFlow GlassFlow is a Berlin-based startup building the open-source data streaming infra for the next generation of developers and AI companies. The company was founded in 2023 in Berlin with a global ambition. The team is highly experienced, with a hands-on mentality and the curiosity to learn daily. We have raised a $4.8m Seed round from top US investors and angels like the GitHub CEO, ex-CTO of Aiven, and many more world-class operators. The founders are serial entrepreneurs with more +10y of experience in building and selling data products. Working at GlassFlow is a unique opportunity in Berlin to build a data infra company that can have a global impact. Tasks Your Role As our new backend engineer, you will play a key role in laying the technical foundations of GlassFlow. In this high-impact position, you will be responsible for developing server-side applications to process events, building APIs, and integrating with external data systems. You will take end-to-end ownership of projects, ensuring the robustness and scalability of our infrastructure. You will join a passionate and dedicated small team, solving challenging problems in data engineering and creating a product that developers will use worldwide. Requirements Must bring with you: Experience (1 year plus) with developing in more than one programming language (Go, Scala, Rust, or or other high-performance languages) Previous experience that could be helpful: Experience with public or private clouds (AWS / GCP / Azure) Experience with K8s, Docker, Docker Compose Experience developing on and using queue systems like Kafka, SQS, and RabbitMQ Worked in fast-growing environments or early-stage startups Openness to using AI tools in coding (e.g., Cursor) is considered a plus Ability to adapt quickly and make compromises in writing code when necessary If you do not fulfill all criteria but you are passionate about this role, please feel free to apply anyway.
