Our diverse, multi-functional team needs your expertise in driving the development of key features within a specific value stream. We've established a Backend Community of Practice to foster technical knowledge sharing and promote best practices. Your role will be crucial in influencing the platform's direction, with the potential to impact customers, stakeholders, and your fellow team members. Tasks We admire courage, innovation, and the willingness to explore uncharted territory. You'll have the autonomy to experiment with novel approaches and technologies, and your seniority will allow you to contribute fresh ideas. You will be a key player in the development of our microservices-based architecture, building connections with multiple clients and integrations using REST APIs and Kafka events. Your skills: Solid understanding of software design principles and a commitment to best practices (clean code) Experience with agile software development methodologies (SCRUM, Kanban) Proficiency in English At least 3 years of experience in Java Web Development Open-mindedness and a passion for teamwork within a compact, focused team Experience or strong interest in modern, state-of-the-art technologies Requirements We're looking for candidates who have experience with: Java 8+ (we use 17, but knowledge of 8 would be sufficient) Spring Boot Various forms of testing (unit testing, e2e testing, component testing) Databases and messaging systems like MySQL, Redis and Kafka REST APIs Gradle CI/CD pipelines We're not just developing software; we're shaping the future of business mobility in Germany.
