At their Munich location, we are seeking an " Senior Accountant (m/f/d) Polish Market " to be the connecting piece between entities in Germany and Poland. Providing accounting and controlling know-how on a high level, you will play the key role in implementing all structures and processes to make this setup work well. Aufgabengebiet The position is responsible for ensuring accurate financial accounting, statutory compliance and effective financial control for Polish & German legal entities within a large, global organization. The role partners closely with regional finance teams, business stakeholders and external advisors to deliver high-quality financial reporting, maintain strong governance standards and support ongoing operational excellence initiatives. Key Responsibilities Perform and oversee period-end close activities for Polish entities in accordance with US GAAP, Polish GAAP and applicable regulatory requirements Coordinate with shared service centers, treasury and regional finance teams to ensure accurate recording of expenses, funding activities and accounting transactions Prepare, review and maintain balance sheet reconciliations in line with internal control standards Record and review accruals, foreign exchange remeasurements, interest calculations and other period-end adjustments Manage intercompany accounting activities, including reconciliations and intercompany invoicing Ensure compliance with transfer pricing requirements in accordance with intercompany agreements Deliver monthly financial results for management reporting and statutory accounting purposes Provide accounting guidance and oversight to the local business to ensure adherence to corporate policies, accounting standards and statutory requirements Partner with FP&A, Operations and other functions to resolve accounting matters, strengthen internal controls and improve process efficiency Lead and support finance transformation, process optimization and change initiatives in collaboration with senior stakeholders Manage the coordination of external audits, including preparation of statutory financial statements and supporting documentation Liaise with external professional service providers to ensure timely preparation and filing of statutory financial reports Maintain oversight of local VAT accounting and reporting obligations Ensure compliance with Polish regulatory reporting requirements in coordination with external advisors Collaborate with regional finance hubs and European controllership teams to deliver consistent controllership outcomes Support potential expansion of responsibilities to additional Polish legal entities as the organization evolves Anforderungsprofil Fluency in Polish and professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken Progressive experience in accounting, audit or financial reporting within a large, multinational corporate environment Strong technical knowledge of Polish GAAP and statutory financial reporting requirements Proven ability to manage complex workloads, meet deadlines and operate effectively under pressure Strong stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills Ability to apply sound judgment while balancing business objectives, compliance and risk considerations Experience working within matrixed, international and culturally diverse organizations Proactive and self-directed mindset with a demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement Experience leading or contributing to process improvement and change initiatives Exposure to finance systems implementations or process migrations Advanced user knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and other common ERP systems Vergütungspaket International company with a secure outlook Significant growth opportunities within the corporation and especially in this role High global social engagement of the company Lunch support scheme Financial support for further education, gym memberships, and more Very attractive compensation package 50% Home Office Kontakt Ralf Plass Referenznummer JN-112025-6891901 Beraterkontakt +49 1733099289
