As a Platform Engineer (GCP) , you are responsible for the secure, reliable, and auditable operation of our cloud platform on Google Cloud. You ensure that our SaaS runs smoothly and meets ISO 27001 requirements, with a strong focus on backups, security, CI/CD, and platform standards. Activities In this role, you take ownership of our GCP-based platform. You work closely with backend and product teams but do not build product features yourself. Your focus is on platform operations, cloud security, and implementing compliance requirements within a modern PaaS architecture using Cloud Run, Firestore, and BigQuery. You make sure processes are not only defined but actually work in day-to-day operations and stand up to audits. Requirements Your Profile • 3+ years of experience in platform engineering, DevOps, SRE, or cloud engineering roles • Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) • Practical experience with PaaS services such as Cloud Run, Firestore, BigQuery, and GCS • Solid understanding of cloud security, IAM, service accounts, and least-privilege principles • Experience designing and operating backup, restore, and disaster recovery processes • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g. GitHub Actions) • Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code concepts and patterns • Experience operating production-grade SaaS systems • Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of platform and security topics end-to-end Nice to Have • Experience with ISO 27001, SOC 2, or similar compliance frameworks • Experience preparing or supporting security and compliance audits • Experience with monitoring and observability tooling (GCP Operations Suite) • Knowledge of GCP cost optimization and billing structures • Experience with Pub/Sub, Cloud Tasks, or event-driven architectures • Background in B2B SaaS or enterprise software environments Team You will become part of our dedicated, interdisciplinary development team.
