Stellenbeschreibung: Intro We're seeking a pioneering AI Team Lead to join one of the fastest growing legal tech companies in Europe. With an established suite of AI-powered products already serving customers in the market, we're now expanding our AI capabilities to deliver even more value. This role offers a unique opportunity to establish AI best practices, develop generative AI solutions, and build agentic systems for our platform. Reporting directly to the CTO, you'll initially handle all AI development hands-on, from architecture to implementation. As our AI initiatives grow, you'll work with the Head of Engineering to build your own team while remaining deeply involved in day-to-day coding and technical decisions. Your Challenge and Opportunity in This Role This is a rare opportunity to shape the AI vision and infrastructure of an entire product ecosystem from the ground up. As the founding AI Engineer, you’ll be both architect and builder—translating cutting-edge research into real-world impact. You’ll define what "AI-powered” truly means for our users, while laying the foundation for a scalable, production-ready AI function. This role offers unmatched ownership, technical depth, and long-term growth as we expand our AI capabilities across teams and markets. Tasks AI Strategy & Implementation: Architect and implement advanced generative AI and LLM-based solutions for our product suite Design and develop sophisticated agentic systems that can perform complex tasks autonomously Establish best practices for AI development, testing, and deployment across products Technical Leadership: Initially handle all AI development hands-on as the primary technical contributor Work with our Head of Engineering to build a high-performing AI team as our initiatives expand Maintain significant hands-on coding involvement even while leading the team Create clear processes for AI development, evaluation, and continuous improvement Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with product, design, and engineering teams to integrate AI capabilities Partner with the CTO and leadership on AI roadmap planning Translate complex AI concepts for both technical and non-technical stakeholders Requirements Technical Expertise: Extensive hands-on experience developing and deploying generative AI systems and applications Deep expertise with large language models (LLMs) and their practical applications Experience building agentic systems that perform complex tasks autonomously Strong programming skills (Python) and software engineering background Leadership Skills: Ability to work independently as the primary technical contributor handling all aspects of development Comfort with hands-on coding and technical work even after building a team Experience mentoring and developing technical talent Excellent communication skills for explaining complex AI concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders Strategic Vision: Ability to create and execute AI roadmaps aligned with business objectives Experience translating cutting-edge AI research into practical applications Problem-solving mindset with focus on delivering user value through AI Benefits Foundational Impact – Drive our AI strategy and implementation from the ground up ️ Team Building – Start as a hands-on individual contributor and build your own AI team with our Head of Engineering while staying involved in day-to-day coding Technical Ownership – Full ownership of our AI capabilities across multiple products Growth Environment – Work at the cutting edge of generative AI and LLMs Leadership Visibility – Direct CTO reporting line with significant influence on technical decisions Fully Remote – Enjoy the flexibility of working from anywhere Top Equipment – State-of-the-art MacBook plus all the accessories you need ️ Wellbeing Perks – Urban Sports Club membership to support your healthy lifestyle Closing If you're passionate about pushing the boundaries of what's possible with generative AI and want to lead the technical development of innovative AI products while maintaining hands-on involvement, we'd love to hear from you!
