Intro About Splint Invest Splint Invest is a Swiss fintech platform that makes investing in alternative assets like art, wine, luxury cars, and collectibles accessible to everyone - starting from just CHF 50. We are a fast-growing startup with a passionate team, working at the intersection of finance, technology, and culture. We are looking for a Head of Technology who will lead our engineering strategy, ensure technical excellence, and scale our platform to meet growing demand. You will be responsible for building a high-performing tech team, driving architectural decisions, and delivering reliable, secure, and scalable features in close partnership with the Head of Product. Tasks Role Purpose You will be responsible for "building the right way" - ensuring our platform is technically robust, scalable, and secure while enabling rapid product delivery. You will lead the full development lifecycle, manage the engineering team, and collaborate closely with product, design, and leadership to deliver impactful features that delight users and drive business growth. Key Responsibilities Technology Leadership & Strategy Define and own the technical vision, architecture, and long-term technology roadmap. Align technology decisions with business strategy and product goals. Evaluate and introduce new tools, frameworks, and best practices to improve productivity and maintainability. Team Management & Culture Lead, mentor, and grow a team of frontend and backend developers. Foster a culture of code quality, technical excellence, and continuous learning. Ensure effective collaboration between product and engineering. Delivery & Execution Oversee end-to-end development cycles, ensuring high-quality, on-time delivery. Own release management and deployment processes. Ensure feature requirements are fully understood and implemented to spec. Technical Excellence & Operations Maintain and evolve the platform architecture for scalability and performance. Ensure security, compliance, and data protection best practices. Oversee code reviews, testing practices, and quality assurance processes. System Operations & Reliability Take ownership of the day-to-day operations of all technology systems, ensuring high availability, resilience, and scalability. ⁠Oversee monitoring, incident management, and disaster recovery processes to minimize downtime and service disruption. ⁠Continuously optimize infrastructure performance and cost efficiency in alignment with business growth. Collaboration with Product Work closely with the Head of Product to ensure features are feasible, well-scoped, and technically sound. Participate in roadmap planning, providing technical input on timelines and complexity. Support A/B testing setup, monitoring, and iteration from the tech side. KPIs for Success Platform reliability: Uptime, error rates, and performance metrics (e.g., response time, load times). Delivery predictability: % of features delivered on time and to specification. Code quality: Reduced bug rates post-release, strong test coverage. Team performance: Developer satisfaction, retention, and growth. Security & compliance: Zero critical vulnerabilities in production. Requirements Must-Haves: Proven experience as Head of Technology, CTO, or Lead Engineer in a fast-growing tech company (fintech or SaaS preferred). Strong background in both frontend and backend development, with emphasis on frontend and expertise in modern frameworks and architectures. Experience scaling platforms with high reliability and security requirements. Solid understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, and cloud infrastructure. Track record of building and leading high-performing tech teams. Strong communication and leadership skills, able to align tech and business priorities. Experience with B2C products / B2C SaaS Experience or interest in tech stack: React Native, Django (Python), Celery, Kubernetes, Redis, AWS, PostgreSQL Nice-to-Haves: Experience in investment platforms, financial services, or alternative assets.
