startup with customers in Europe and Asia! About the Role We are
seeking an experienced Head of Sales to lead and scale our global
sales efforts. In this senior role, you will be responsible for
driving revenue growth and expanding our customer base among airlines,
MROs, lessors, and other aviation organizations. Based in Germany
(with regular collaboration across time zones), you will oversee and
expand our sales operations across Europe and Asia-Pacific, managing
our existing APAC sales experts and growing the team to strengthen our
presence in both regions. This role requires a strategic sales leader
who is also a hands-on "player-coach,” capable of both guiding a
team and personally closing key deals. The Head of Sales will report
directly to the CEO and work closely with our product and customer
success teams to ensure our solutions meet client needs and achieve
market success. Tasks Sales Strategy & Leadership: Develop and execute
a global sales strategy that aligns with Soji AI’s business goals,
including market penetration in Europe and APAC. Set sales targets,
KPIs, and budgets, and lead initiatives to achieve and exceed revenue
goals. Team Management: Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing
sales team. Manage the current sales expert in APAC and hire/train
additional team members as the company grows. Foster a results-driven,
collaborative team culture. Hands-On Sales (Player-Coach): Take
ownership of major accounts and strategic deals. Act as a player-coach
by actively engaging in the sales process – from prospecting and
lead qualification to product demos, proposal development, and
negotiating & closing deals – while coaching team members in these
activities. Client Relationship Development: Cultivate strong
relationships with key customers and partners in the aviation sector.
Engage with stakeholders at airlines, MRO providers, aircraft lessors,
and CAMOs to understand their needs and ensure high customer
satisfaction and retention. Market Expansion & Business Development:
Identify new sales opportunities and emerging markets. Conduct regular
market research to stay informed about industry trends, competitor
offerings, and customer pain points. Expand Soji AI’s presence into
new regions or segments of the aviation industry as appropriate.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the Product,
Engineering, and Customer Success teams to relay market feedback and
customer requirements. Ensure smooth onboarding of new clients and
collaborate on developing solutions or proposals that address client
challenges. Sales Operations & Reporting: Establish and refine sales
processes, tools, and pipelines (e.g., CRM usage, sales playbooks) to
improve efficiency and scalability. Monitor sales metrics and provide
regular forecasting and performance reports to the CEO and leadership
team. Adjust strategies based on data-driven insights. Representation
& Travel: Represent Soji AI at industry conferences, trade shows, and
client meetings globally. Serve as an ambassador for our brand and
solutions. (Note: This position will require international travel to
meet clients and attend events as needed.) Requirements Extensive
experience in B2B sales (e.g., 8+ years), with a strong track record
of meeting or exceeding revenue targets. Several years (3–5+ years)
of experience in a sales leadership role (Sales Director, Head of
Sales, VP Sales, or similar), preferably in a startup or high-growth
environment. Aviation Industry Knowledge: Must have significant
experience or deep knowledge in the aviation industry. Familiarity
with aviation operations, MROs, aircraft leasing (lessors), CAMOs, or
related sectors is required to effectively understand client needs and
industry dynamics. Sales Expertise: Proven ability to develop
effective sales strategies and drive the full sales cycle from lead
generation through deal closing. Exceptional negotiation and
deal-closing skills, with experience securing high-value or
enterprise-level contracts. Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to
lead and inspire a sales team. Skilled in mentoring, performance
management, and creating a high-energy, accountable sales culture. A
hands-on leader who leads by example and is willing to roll up their
sleeves when necessary. Communication: Excellent communication,
presentation, and interpersonal skills. Able to articulate complex
technical solutions in clear, compelling terms and build rapport with
both C-level executives and operational managers in client
organizations. Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is required.
Proficiency in other languages (especially German or other relevant
languages in our market) is a strong plus. Willingness to Travel:
Ability to travel internationally as needed – for client meetings,
industry events, and coordination between our German and Singapore
offices. (Expected travel across Europe and occasional trips to
Asia-Pacific.) Tech Savvy: Comfortable with technology and able to
quickly learn the technical aspects of an AI software product.
Experience selling software/SaaS or technical solutions is highly
