the role The Head of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) plays a
pivotal role in strengthening the financial management and strategic
decision-making capabilities of the organization. This position
oversees global budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis,
ensuring effective use of resources to deliver on LftW’s mission. .
This role is responsible for monitoring performance, engaging and
developing the FP&A team. The job holder will combine deep financial
expertise with a strong understanding of the iNGO operating
environment, including restricted and unrestricted funding and
multi-country program delivery. Tasks Lead and develop the team by
recruiting, onboarding, setting clear goals, managing performance, and
coaching for growth. Foster a collaborative, service-oriented team
culture that promotes continuous learning and accountability. Ensure
effective role clarity and resource utilization so the team can
perform efficiently and in alignment with organizational needs. Lead
strategic financial planning , including annual budgeting and
multi-year financial plans aligned with MAAP and funding strategies.
Provide financial leadership and insights to support strategic
objectives, long-term sustainability, and programmatic impact. Partner
with senior leadership and national members on scenario planning,
resource allocation, and risk management. Deliver high-quality
financial analysis and reporting to senior management, governance
bodies, and national members. Monitor organizational financial health
, including liquidity, reserves, funding trends, and cost efficiency.
Act as a trusted financial advisor , translating data into actionable
insights and supporting major strategic decisions. Strengthen systems,
processes, and governance by improving financial tools, data
integrity, and continuous improvement across planning and reporting.
Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or
related field (Master’s, MBA, or CPA preferred). 5+ years of
progressive experience in financial management, preferably in leading
FP&A or similar functions in an iNGO or complex international
organization. Proven experience with multi-currency, multi-country
budgeting and financial consolidation. Excellent analytical,
communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to translate
financial insights into strategic recommendations. Strong leadership
and people management skills, ideally with experience managing teams
across regions or time zones. Proficiency in financial planning and
analysis systems (e.g., Adaptive Insights, Power BI, or similar tools)
and advanced Excel skills. Commitment to the mission, values, and
