Stellenbeschreibung: Intro At Brandback, we’re on a mission to redefine shopping with AI. Founded by experienced operators and backed by top tier investors and angels from the retail industry, we have gone from strength to strength since launching our product last year. We are looking for a product-minded Full Stack Engineer to lead the development of our React Native mobile app, creating new experiences that go beyond what’s possible on our web platform. In this role, you will have the opportunity to architect, build, and optimize a high-performance mobile application from the ground up. You’ll work closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to bring innovative mobile-first features to life, ensuring a seamless, engaging, and high-quality experience for our users. This is a high-impact role where you will shape the future of our mobile strategy. Location: Berlin, Germany, office-first 4 days / week Type: Full-Time Experience Level: Mid-Level to Senior-Level Tasks What you will be doing Building and launching a high-performance React Native app for iOS and Android Defining and implementing the mobile app architecture, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability Developing native-like experiences, leveraging device capabilities Collaborating with designers and product managers to craft intuitive, mobile-first user experiences Collaborating with AI engineers to implement AI features Optimizing app performance, responsiveness, and reliability across different devices Writing clean, well-documented, and testable code, ensuring maintainability and robustness Researching and implementing new mobile technologies, frameworks, and best practices Our tech stack Node.js, Python TypeScript, React, React Native, Web components GCP Github Cursor or another AI assistant of your choice Requirements Must have Experience working on and deploying mobile apps at scale - you either owned the whole app lifecycle or led a team owning it Strong expertise in React Native, with experience delivering high-quality mobile apps Deep understanding of mobile UI/UX principles and best practices for iOS and Android, especially for consumer-facing apps Experience optimizing mobile app performance (e.g., memory management, animations, background tasks) Familiarity with native modules (Swift/Kotlin) and third-party libraries for extending React Native capabilities Experience integrating REST APIs, GraphQL, or real-time data synchronization Strong knowledge of state management (e.g. Zustand, React Query) Ability to collaborate effectively with designers, backend engineers, and product teams Familiarity with mobile CI/CD pipelines (Expo, GitHub Actions) Nice to have Experience working on eCommerce and / or AI-driven apps Experience working on animations and image editing flows Benefits Our offer Impact: Your work will directly shape our product and contribute to our mission to change a the way people shop Growth: As one of the first 15 FTEs you will work directly with the founders, benefitting from rapid personal growth and potential step changes in your career progression Culture: An ambitious, creative, and collaborative team environment Equity: Outsized stock options to share in the company’s success
