Stellenbeschreibung: Intro We’re bringing the energy transition to apartment buildings — roof by roof! Solar energy is booming — but so far, it’s mostly single-family homes that benefit from affordable, green electricity. Apartment buildings? Not so much. Only about 1% currently have a solar PV system. We want to change that — and we need you to help bring affordable solar power to thousands of people! Your mission You’re a builder. As a founding engineer, you will build our tech team and software platform for tenant electricity from the ground up. You have deep technical expertise, work lean, ship fast, and take on versatile tasks with full ownership. You know exactly when it’s time to create a scalable product and when "vibe coding” is perfectly fine. You’re not just shaping the codebase but also defining the technical vision of our product — actively contributing to the energy transition. ☀️ Who we are Dach für Dach is revolutionizing tenant electricity solutions for small apartment buildings — simple, digital, and hassle-free. We support property owners and specialized installers throughout the entire journey, from planning and implementation to operations. Our innovative software ensures transparency across all stages, visualizes energy data, and automates billing. We’re Jasper and Leo, the founders of Dach für Dach. With our backgrounds in software startups, venture capital, and industry, we share a mission: to provide even more people with sustainable and affordable energy. Tasks Build products from scratch Take full technical ownership of our software platform Develop and ship new features together with us, e.g., energy data visualization or automated billing Design the technical architecture, make fundamental tech stack decisions, and establish development processes Requirements Hands-on mindset : You proactively tackle challenges and push our product forward with ownership You solve problems quickly and pragmatically without overengineering You know when to use no-/low-code solutions and AI tools — and when "vibe coding” becomes an issue Full-stack expertise : Strong skills in both frontend and backend technologies Self-leadership & curiosity : You organize yourself independently and dive fearlessly into new topics Languages : English, basic German Passion for the energy transition and a drive to turn ideas into reality Bonus : Experience with energy or billing software Benefits Direct collaboration with the founders & fast track to ownership Fair salary: depending on experience level + equity (VSOP) The opportunity to actively shape the energy transition and build a new company from the ground up This is not a remote position : We’re in our office in the heart of Berlin 3–5 days a week and look forward to building a great team with you here.
