After 13 successful years building the fintech company viafintech and ultimately selling it in one of Germany’s largest fintech exits for a nine-figure amount, we are now pursuing new challenges: We found new ventures and invest in startups and venture capital funds. For one of our portfolio companies, the PropTech startup vivanta, we are now looking for a Founding Engineer who is excited to shape the technical foundation from day one and take on a key long-term role in the company. About vivanta With vivanta, we are building an AI-powered property management company, transforming a centuries-old €20 billion market in Germany. High demand in a fully fragmented market 10+ year customer retention Strong monthly recurring revenue potential A massive playground for technological innovation Positioned at the intersection of strong unit economics and exceptional technical execution, we are creating a product that is both indispensable and designed for long-term market adoption. Tasks We’re looking for a Founding Engineer who’s excited about shaping a company from the ground up - not just writing code, but defining the technical foundation of our product and business. You will: Design and implementation of end-to-end automations in areas such as accounting, invoice approval, communication, and property management – including monitoring, logging, and error handling Building a scalable, modular platform architecture that integrates ERP, CRM, document management, and digital owner portals. Strong focus on security, scalability, and maintainabilit Develop production-ready LLM and ML features (e.g., document classification, predictive maintenance, AI assistants), including prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and deployment Closely collaborate with the founders – you decide on architecture, tools, frameworks, and set technical standards (clean code, testing, code reviews, DevOps processes) Requirements We’re looking for someone who: Has deep experience with backend systems , infrastructure, and API design Thrives in early-stage environments where speed and adaptability are key Enjoys solving complex technical challenges with an eye toward scalability and maintainability Is comfortable working in-person with the founding team (not full-time remote) Wants to take ownership —both in equity and in decision-making Benefits Founder-Level-Impact: Du bist einer der ersten Engineers und prägst unsere Tech-DNA von Anfang an Ownership & Gestaltungsspielraum: Architektur, Stack, Standards – du bestimmst mit Enge Zusammenarbeit mit Gründer:innen und Investor:innen Flexibles Arbeiten: Büro in Berlin + Remote möglich Equity-Optionen : Werde langfristig Teilhaber:in am Erfolg von vivanta Compensation: €60–80k salary + equity (pre-seed) Location: Berlin, Munich, Hamburg, Germany (on-site preferred, with flexibility) Start date: Januar 2026
