About the Role Develop, implement, and maintain backend services using Python (Django, Flask, FastAPI, or similar) Build and manage AI-driven features, including working with embeddings, semantic search, and vector databases Design and maintain RESTful APIs and integrate external APIs into internal systems Develop and maintain Jenkins automation pipelines for scheduled jobs and backend workflows Work with relational databases and participate in SQL schema design, optimization, and query performance Ensure system performance, scalability, and reliability for internal applications Collaborate closely with team members in the Düsseldorf office, including AI engineers, frontend developers, and product stakeholders Participate in agile ceremonies: stand-ups, sprint planning, code reviews, and architecture discussions Keep up to date with backend, DevOps, and AI/ML trends, contributing ideas to improve the tech stack Your Profil Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent professional experience 2+ years of experience in backend development with Python (Django, Flask, FastAPI, or similar) Solid understanding of AI concepts, especially embeddings, vector search, and semantic matching Hands-on experience building and consuming REST APIs Knowledge of Jenkins or other CI/CD tools for automation Experience with SQL databases, including schema design and optimisation Familiarity with containerisation (Docker) is a plus Experience integrating external APIs into backend systems Version control experience (Git) Fluent in English (German is a plus but not required) Passion for building intelligent backend systems and working in a collaborative, innovation-driven team What’s Offered International, collaborative, and professional team environment Team-building events, social activities, and company celebrations Continuous learning, development, and career growth opportunities Challenging AI, automation, and backend engineering projects Interesse geweckt?
