- Our Company "Buying Labs is the leading global partner for sourcing
and distributing premium consumer goods!" We’re seeking an
accomplished Director Commercial (m/f/d) to lead our diverse category
portfolio from our Hamburg headquarters. In this high-impact role, you
will shape and execute the commercial strategy across Luxury Fashion,
Commercial Fashion, Beauty, FMCG, and emerging markets, driving
revenue growth and strengthening our competitive position. Your
leadership will inspire cross-functional teams, foster strategic
partnerships, and unlock new market opportunities. Ideally, you bring
a proven track record in B2B category management, a strong grasp of
global market dynamics, and a passion for building scalable,
high-performing organizations. Your Mission Lead four commercial
category teams with direct oversight of team leads and approximately
30 employees. Build and implement a clear, scalable organizational
structure for Luxury Fashion, Beauty, Commercial Brands Fashion, and
FMCG. Launch the FMCG category department, including hiring,
go-to-market planning, and initial operational setup. Ensure alignment
of departmental objectives and initiatives with the overall company
strategy. Develop and execute growth strategies for each category to
achieve revenue, margin, and profitability targets. Identify and
implement cross-category synergies to leverage inventory, supplier
relations, and market access. Lead transformation initiatives to
increase operational agility and commercial scalability. Continuously
track and analyze global market trends, competitor activities,
consumer behavior, and category performance to inform strategic
decisions and identify growth opportunities. Identify, evaluate,
negotiate, and execute strategic brand partnerships, acquisitions, and
exclusivity agreements to strengthen the company’s product portfolio
and competitive positioning. Build and maintain strong relationships
with suppliers, brands, distributors, and industry stakeholders
globally. Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for expansion
into new geographies and market segments, including market research,
partner identification, and launch planning. Ensure efficient supplier
and client workflows, aligning and streamlining processes across
Buying, Sales, and Business Development functions. Optimize pricing
structures, deal terms, and negotiation playbooks to maximize
commercial performance. Define, track, and continuously improve key
performance metrics (e.g., GM%, sell-through rates, inventory ROI,
margin uplift), providing regular performance reports to executive
management. Monitor and optimize inventory turnover rates to maximize
sales velocity, minimize excess stock, and improve capital efficiency.
Champion a culture of data-driven decision-making across the
commercial organization. Your Profile Proven track record in senior
commercial leadership roles, ideally within multi-category trading,
wholesale, or B2B environments. Extensive experience in category
management across Luxury Fashion, Commercial Brands, Beauty, FMCG, or
related industries. Strong strategic planning skills with the ability
to translate vision into actionable growth initiatives. Demonstrated
success in developing and implementing scalable organizational
structures and operational processes. Expertise in negotiating and
managing strategic partnerships, acquisitions, and exclusivity
agreements. Deep understanding of global market trends, competitive
landscapes, and consumer behavior. Strong financial acumen, including
experience managing P&L, optimizing margins, and improving inventory
ROI. Excellent leadership skills with a history of building, coaching,
and inspiring high-performing teams. Proven ability to align
cross-functional teams and foster collaboration between Buying, Sales,
and Business Development. Exceptional negotiation, communication, and
relationship management skills with global stakeholders. Analytical
mindset with experience driving data-informed decision-making. Ability
to lead transformation and change management initiatives in dynamic,
fast-paced environments. Fluency in English; German or additional
