- DC (Warehouse) Manager We’re offering an exciting chance to become
the DC Manager of our new Distribution Center in Berg, close to Hof in
Bavaria. You’ll jump in during the final build phase, drive the
setup, and lead the recruitment and training of your team, getting
everything ready to supply over 200 Action stores. This site will
quickly grow into a 2-shift operation with around 300 colleagues. Like
this? Keep reading! Your job Working at Action is not like working
anywhere else. With over 3,000 stores across Europe, 19 distribution
centers, hubs, and cross docks, an ambitious growth plan, our supply
chain never stands still. Your first focus will be to get up to speed
quickly by supporting our international colleagues involved in the
build phase and selecting your local team. You do this with one goal
in mind: delivering the best possible service to our stores. While we
currently operate two outsourced DC´s near Munich and Frankfurt and
one insourced DC close to Hannover, Berg will be fully managed by us.
You’ll report to the Regional Supply Chain Manager and be part of
the Regional Management Team for Germany and Netherlands. To stay
connected, you’ll visit our other DCs including our very first DC in
the Netherlands, where our International Head Office is located and as
training platform our insourced DC in Peine. This is your chance to
learn how we run our operations, how Action works and thinks, and
build strong relationships, so we only need to invent the wheel once.
Once the DC is operational, you’ll lead your teams and oversee daily
deliveries. You’ll turn start-up decisions into long-term success.
As the site stabilizes and store numbers grow, you’ll lead the site
through shift model development, scaling from initial operations to a
full 2-shift setup as volumes grow. This is a team effort with you at
the helm. Together with your team you’ll build a safe, secure, and
high-performing operation aligned with the Action standards.
Action’s Supply Chain operates in a matrix structure, meaning
you’ll work closely with our European teams in Process, Transport,
Human Resources and Facilities to actively secure the right support
for your site. Furthermore: Operational Management Lead all DC
operations and teams to ensure high-quality, safe, and cost-efficient
operations; Drive, jointly with central in the lead, process
improvements and implement logistics procedures to boost performance
and consistency; Ensure full compliance with HSE, labor law and
regulatory requirements. Act as the main point of contact for audits
and authorities; Lead operational response during incidents and
disruptions, ensuring fast prioritization and clear escalation; Ensure
optimal use, maintenance and protection of Action assets and equipment
and evaluate and approve additional costs, investments and business
cases at site level; Take ownership of key financial results. People
Management Recruit, onboard, and develop your team in close
cooperation with the HR Business Partner; Foster a culture of
continuous development, ownership, and performance improvement; Build
and maintain a constructive partnership with the Works Council and
Unions to ensure stable, compliant and productive operations. Project
Management Lead all site-level projects as Project Manager; Represent
the DC as a project member in European initiatives; Act as the site
interface towards suppliers in the close alignment with central
procurement; Align frequently and proactively with your manager and
European project leads to stay connected with developments across all
our self-managed DC's. Meet your team Every week, over 11 million
customers visit one of our 3,000+ stores across Europe, and we’re
still growing fast, with new stores opening daily and new distribution
centers every quarter. It’s a major logistical challenge: moving
6,000+ products efficiently and at the lowest cost. Our Supply Chain
team, now 13,000 strong, keeps the shelves full. We operate across 14
countries and will expand further in the years ahead. You’ll work
closely with our international colleagues, as well as central teams in
Process, IT, Facilities, and Transport. This is you You know your way
around international Supply Chains and thrive in the fast-paced world
of retail logistics. The chance to build and lead your own DC from the
ground up excites you. Safety, performance, and continuous improvement
are in your DNA. You think ahead, but you act now. You’re someone
who spots opportunities to improve store deliveries and knows how to
align with international experts to make it happen. You engage your
team building strong relationships with colleagues and employee
representatives. You combine long-term planning with a sharp focus on
daily operations. You’re structured, reliable, and deadline-driven
but pragmatic when needed to get things done. Maybe you’ve done this
before and want to do it again. Or maybe this is your big step forward
into a role that grows with you as the DC evolves or as you step into
Regional Leadership or specialist roles. You bring: A master’s
degree in Logistics, Operations, or a related field; 7–8+ years of
experience in retail logistics, ideally with a few years in a similar
role; Solid understanding of transportation and how it fits in the
bigger picture; Experience with ERP, WMS, and MS Office tools; Strong

opportunities to grow. New roles, innovation projects, fresh
challenges: there’s no ceiling on your development. Our culture is
simple and focused, built on shared values: customer focus, teamwork,
simplicity, discipline, cost awareness, and respect. You can count on:
A permanent full-time contract; Competitive salary with annual and
long-term performance bonuses; Laptop and mobile phone; 15% staff
discount in Action stores; Extensive training and development
opportunities. How we contribute to society Behind the scenes, we’re
working to make a real impact. From sponsoring 2,000+ children through
SOS Children’s Villages to building a diverse team with 124
nationalities. We’re serious about sustainability too, 70% of our
wood and 86% of our cotton products are sourced responsibly. Over half
our stores use only LED lighting. And our newest DCs, including Berg,
are built to the highest BREEAM standards designed for sustainability
and a great place to work. Yes, that’s also Action. Want to know
more? Join us and see for yourself. Interested? We’re proud to be an
