Stellenbeschreibung: Intro AENU is a climate tech VC fund focused on early-stage companies in northern Europe, specializing in the energy transition, industrial decarbonisation and climate adaptation. AENU is backed by large institutional LPs and European family offices, having closed a first fund of EUR 170 million. Early portfolio winners with strong commercial visibility include Monta, Alcemy, Hometree and Trawa. As an Article 9 SFDR-aligned fund, AENU is committed to funding breakthrough founders who aim to remove 100 Mt CO₂e at scale. Why This Role Matters We are at a critical time in our history. Climate change has become the biggest threat to our planet and future generations. With AENU, we are looking to create a sizable and measurable positive impact on the planet and society, transforming current challenges into opportunities for a better future. We are seeking a Communications Manager who will drive AENU’s external communications and position us as a thought leader in climate tech and venture capital. Your mission will be to amplify our voice by crafting compelling narratives that engage founders, LPs, co-investors and the broader ecosystem. Tasks Communications & Branding Strategy Own the end-to-end communications and branding strategy, ensuring consistency across all channels (website, social media, newsletter, etc.) Translate investment themes and strategic initiatives into clear and engaging narratives Safeguard AENU’s brand identity and voice across touchpoints, both internally and externally Events & Project Execution Lead the structured planning and execution of high-quality events, including the annual AENU Summit (>150 guests) and conference side events Support investment team members with conference and speaker preparation Develop and manage event timelines, logistics, stakeholder coordination and post-event reporting Content & Channel Management Plan and produce original content (e.g. blog posts, founder features, opinion pieces and newsletters) Manage our newsletter and social media channels (primarily LinkedIn) Draft and coordinate press releases and secure coverage for key milestones (e.g. investments, events) Market Insights & Stakeholder Relations Conduct market and competitor analysis Manage external stakeholders and the marketing budget Build and maintain relationships with journalists, media outlets and ecosystem partners Requirements 4 - 6 years of professional experience in communications, ideally within VC or climate/tech startup environments Strong, structured project management skills with attention to detail by using tools like Notion (or similar) to ensure a clear and transparent process; especially for organizing events and executing marketing projects Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both German and English Confident storyteller able to translate complex topics into clear narratives for diverse audiences including founders, LPs and policymakers Proven experience managing social media (especially LinkedIn) and newsletters , with a sharp editorial eye Proficient with a modern marketing tool stack (e.g. Mailchimp, Canva, light web design tools, PowerPoint and event registration platforms) Fluent in or eager to adopt AI tools for content creation and planning (e.g. ChatGPT, Claude, GrammarlyGO) as well as basic image/video generation Strategic and hands-on : you enjoy working independently and cross-functionally while staying close to the execution Mission-aligned and motivated by AENU’s values and long-term impact Benefits A key role in shaping the communications, content and brand presence of an ambitious, values-driven VC fund The chance to grow into a strategic communications and content lead over time Hybrid flexibility: work from our Berlin HQ or partially remotely within Germany Perks-package including mobility, health and professional development-budget High trust environment with flat hierarchies Opportunity to work with an amazing mission-driven team, striving to create a sizable impact for the planet and society, drive positive change in the VC & tech community Access to a wide and empowering network in the startup, venture and impact / sustainability ecosystem Closing Practical Info Start date: as soon as possible Job type: Full-time Location: Berlin or partially remote (Germany-based) Application: CV via Join We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity in all its forms.
